Medical Cannabis Certification
Dr. Chinwe John is registered with the Virginia Board of Pharmacy, and has authorization to provide qualifying patients with a written certification, which allows the patient to obtain a Medical Cannabis Card from the Virginia Board of Pharmacy. The Medical Cannabis Card, can then be used at a Medical Cannabis Dispensary, to obtain Medical Cannabis preparations consisting of CBD (Cannabidiol), THC-A (Tetrahydrocannabinolic acid) or THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) oils.
What this means, is that if you have a qualifying medical condition, Dr. John will issue you a certificate allowing you according to the code of Virginia, to purchase Medical Cannabis to help alleviate symptoms resulting from your medical condition. As of July 1st, 2020, Medical Cannabis is legal in the state of Virginia.
Up until this present time, due to the manner in which Cannabis is scheduled by the DEA, little to no education is given to physicians while they are in medical training, regarding Cannabis derived compounds. Dr. Chinwe John is one of few certifying providers in the area, who not only can issue certification, but has taken the additional step of undergoing education through certification courses.
Having a physician who can not only issue a letter of certification, but has knowledge on the mode of action, side effects and absolute contraindications to the use of Cannabis derived compounds, is essential for individuals who wish to try CBD, THC-A and THC oils.
I do not support the smoking of cigarettes, marijuana, etc., due to the damaging effects this activity has not only on the health of the person smoking, but on anyone in contact with them, and the environment as a whole. Medical Cannabis is different from Recreational Marijuana in many ways, including but not limited to: the manner in which the Cannabis is cultivated, the percentage concentration of intoxicating to non-intoxicating components, the purity of the final product, and the ability to monitor the maximum daily ingested amounts of active Cannabis compound.
